This weekend we had a taste of "summer" weather. We reached a high of 92 degrees and it was heaven on earth. I was so glad to see the sun shining and hearing the birds sing, it was like I awoke to a new world. Far from the dreary, cold, rainy weather that we've endured for many months now. I so don't do well with the winter weather. I am ready for Spring! I have been waiting for some paper whites to bloom for over two weeks now that I've been forcing in doors. They are so close to blooming, I just can't wait! All the spring flowers make me super happy and so ready to get the spring and summer started! I know there are seasons for a reason, but gosh I wish I could have spring for six months and summer for the other six. Guess I would have to move to a warmer location for that to happen, and quite frankly I'm content in the midwest. So, I guess I'll have to make the best of each day and take the seasons as they come and stop complaining.
I have started the spring cleaning, as most people do this time of the year, and can't believe where all the "stuff" comes from! I have been buying old and new things with good intentions of using them or reselling them at the flea market, but this winter carried on far too long, and I have quite a collection going on. Time to get rid of the stuff. I have a new goal this year, to stop buying things that I don't have an immediate need for. No more buying for the flea market, I have plenty of things to repurpose right now to put in the booth if I could just find the time to get it made. Famous last words....I know,. But, first things first, organization. Seems I have hoarded so many odds and ends, that I am beginning to look like some of those hoarders on tv. Not really....but feel I'm headed that way if I don't stop the cycle now.
Life is good and hopefully I can post some pics of the projects I'm working on in the next couple of days, this should help me to get the things done on my list of many, many ideas/projects I want to accomplish. Wish me luck!
